OOTD- Frosty Day

Today, temperatures hit -2  in Hartlepool, this gave an excuse to wear a chunky cowl neck jumper dress from H&M to keep warm while catching up with friends for food and drinks. I put this together with cut out, heeled boots which I made my parents search the country for (eventually finding them in Edinburgh) because of the crocodile detail on the front of the boots. I also added a mink, snakeskin tote and khaki fedora hat from River Island. At the moment I seem to only wear black, grey, khaki and mink.

Lumberjack Denim

Recently I have been spending way too much money on clothes, however, this was a necessity. I needed a casual coat which would still keep me warm for the winter months approaching. This denim jacket is perfect due to the wool lining in the body and the collar. Plus, I've been wanting this jacket forever! On the other hand I have bought several tops, jumpers, jeans and dresses over the weekend showing I'm definitely not living the 'Uni Life'.

Street Style Winner

So a few weeks back I was stopped by Fashion North to be entered into a competion to win a £50 giftcard for Bridges Shopping Centre. Guess what? I won! I was suprised they asked me to enter, nevermind win it. Therefore I think its another excuse to go shopping this week and even spend some of my student loan.

H&M (very) Ripped Jeans

I've had my eye on these ripped skinny jeans from H&M for a while now and I've eventually found my size in the Sunderland store. H&M's jeans are at the top of my list in terms of quality and price because they actually are DENIM and not the 'elastic cotton' type such as the Joni jeans in Topshop. So obviously, for the past week, they have been most worn item in my wardrobe. Last night I put them together with a navy blue bralet and mules to create a 'night out look' for student night. However, hungover (maybe still drunk) before lectures this morning, I quickly shot on; pointed flats to allow my feet to recover, a baggy, striped top and hat to hide my flat hair.

Valentino at MFW

WOW! The models walking for Valentino's Spring/ Summer 15 Collection at Milan Fashion Week are dressed to impress. I am loving the camel and navy blue colours for the season, something different to pastels. I am desperate to get my hands on the Roman inspired gladiator sandals for the summer; in my opinion, the gladiator sandals and bohemian influenced designs are on point to achieve the summer vibes. Yet again, the laser cut effect will be back in for the next season. I love it, especially in the white designs, something similar from the high street will definitely be at the top of my list for next year. Valentino is also pulling off the minimal look, I'm totally in awe of the crop and culottes coordinate.

OOTD

For those who know me know my obsession with hats (although I suffer from terrible "hat hair"). I took full advantage of the Student Lock In this week and bought myself another hat and heeled mules to go with. At the moment I have a growing collection of hats including; a pork pie, fedora and floppy fedora hat. However, I cant help to resist buying a cream floppy fedora (Select) or a brown fedora (Peacocks), especially because they are much cheaper than other High Street stores such as Topshop and River Island.

Friday 27th June

Bohemian style inspired by Kate Moss. I need to buy out of her collection in Topshop but  it is so expensive. At the moment my spending sprees are in Primark because it is hard to resist the impulse buys when working there. To get the beach waves it was just corn-plaits over night and they've stayed in all day.

Leather Waistcoat- Topshop
Aviators- Primark

Lipstick- Mac Diva
Watch- Marc Jacobs
I also went out for dinner today and the Melborne Hotel in Hartlepool is lush. It was the first time I tried it and 2 courses for £13.50 is quite reasonable. The smoked salmon and prawns for starter and stuffed chicken wrapped in bacon was so nice.

Highlights of NYFW

My dream is to visit NYC and be front row at NYFW, however, because I can't afford to attend at the moment I am constantly searching the internet for this years event. In my opinion, the Spring collection this year is superb and my favourite designers of 2014 are:

Rebecca Minkoff

COATS! Yes Rebecca Minkoff's Spring 14 collection is filled with boyfriend coats and I love it. Minkoff is one of my fave designers and I love her daily Instagram post of her bags and shoes which I've always wanted. Now I need to get my hands on one of her coats. I think her minimal collection is great and the although people may think grey washes you out, the great jacket is looking great next to the lilac shirt. This is definitely a top spring outfit.

Christiano Soriano
The SS14 catwalk for Christiano Soriano is out of this world. This year pastel and patterns are a huge fashion success and Soriano has definitely achieved this. I am loving the bright coloured coordinating suit which I'm sure will look great at a garden party this summer with a glass of Pimms and fruit. The matching mint green crop top and skirt is very 50's. I have spotted similar skirts in magazines such as look and I can see it being one of my first Spring purchases. It's my 18th Birthday next month and I was unsure of a party outfit until now. Soriano's white coordinating piece is my inspiration for my 18th number (without the jacket). Finally, the dress, WOW! It's amazing, I love the detail and patterns and there this no doubt that this stole the show.

Marc Jacobs
This designer had many famous faces in his show including Model of the Year 2012, Cara Delevingne, Sky Ferreira and Kendall Jenner. However, I was disappointed by his collection this year, maybe it's just not my style.

Pre- Spring Clean

My bedroom needed a serious clean this week and I found a lot of clothes, shoes and make up I had forgot about. This photograph is showing the "evolution" of my lipsticks and I counted 10 lipstick that I have been collecting over the years and I still wear them all, I'm obsessed with lipstick. Also, each lipstick is a reasonable price, the most expensive is Bare Minerals Live It Up is the most expensive at £16 and MAC Viva Glam I and Rebel at £15. However, they are definitely worth it! These lipsticks on all day and when out or at parties they only need to be applied once or twice. Other favourite lipsticks of mine are the Rimmel Lasting Finish lipsticks by Kate Moss, colours 001 and 005, these suit my skin tone as it slightly olive tinted, especially hot pink. Unfortunately, these lipsticks have been discontinued so I save them for special occasions.

Also, I have a ridiculous amount of shoes and they are literally turning into a mountain in my room. Out of the 30 pairs of shoes, 6 pairs are heels. I love heels, every time I am shoe shopping I am always browsing the heels section. My next shoe buy is definitely a pair of holographic heels but the pair I have imagined are so difficult to find. If I could, I would wear heels to college but I'm not that adventurous so maybe I'll wait till Uni. I have a pair of heeled loafers which I bought back in 2010 and finally, they are back in fashion! This spring I will never have these off my feet.

Already, I have my eyes set on other lipstick. I want a coral colour lipstick ready for the summer and my holiday but I'm unsure of which make up brand to chose. I am loving the MAC- So Chaud, I am always buy MAC recently because I think the lipsticks have a creamy, soft texture and the colour always stays (well when I'm not always stuffing my face). But, I would like to try Revlon- Rendezvous because I have never bought a lip stain or lip crayon and I am loving the colour. Any ideas? Do I stay safe with MAC or try something new with Revlon?
